Last week I had a chance to travel to San Pablo, Laguna with my friends and cousin for business. A friend of mine who’s from San Pablo recommend this historical place for us to have our lunch. It was an impromptu trip so I was not able to bring my camera so have to make the best out of an Iphone.
When I went inside the restaurant I really feel living in a spanish era from the tables, chairs, windows, paintings, photos and some vintage items.
Instead of waiting for our food at our table we went to their gallery / museum. Where they showcase vintage items and furnitures, it’s a must visit for place vintage lovers since everything in the museum are personal collection.
After the museum we head back to the restaurant and had our lunch.

Summer heat is to hot to handle around the metro, sweating here and there with the combination of the pollution. So me and my cousin went on a trip to Cebu, Philippines to enjoy the heat at the beach! It’s only about an hour flight from Manila to Cebu so it’s a quick getaway!
We went to Shangri-la Mactan Spa and Resort, aside from it’s famous name I believe that Shangri-la Mactan has the most beautiful beach in Cebu not to mention their friendly staff and great service.
Please ignore my happy feet because I got carried away with view. 🙂
Good Morning World!
They also have kiddie pools and adult pools if your not into sands and salt water. The view is also superb with their own infinity pool and they also got a water massage on the side, truly perfect for relaxation.
A perfect clean blue pool with matching trees and flowers to relax you.
In case you get bored, they also offer several water sports such as jetski, scuba diving, para-sailing, snorkling and lot more!
When your hungry stomach decided to disturb you no worries there are plenty of food and beverage outlets near the beach and pool.
The other part of the beach which is nearer to the Ocean View rooms has a finer sand and less crowded than the one nearer on the bar.
Truly a perfect place for relaxation! You should give it a try!
Philippines maybe advertise as a 3rd world country but there are still plenty of great stuff to see and enjoy aside from the beaches and natural scenery. Wanna know why “It’s more fun in the Philippines.”
Last February 2012 Autoindustriya.com (AI) organized an event called Speedfest where car enthusiast and racers are invited to join. The event consist of Gymkhana, 1/4 mile run and mile run drag. So where in Philippines was this held? AI rented the whole Subic International Airport for the event, where runway was used for the mile runs and the plane docking area was used for the gymkhana. Anyway I’ll cut the chase, I’ll show you some of the photos that I took during the event.

The Ford GT could be the fastest car in Philippines. It ran 205 MPH in one mile making it the fastest car during the event.

The white m3 powered by a corvette engine drifting!
Let's drive sideways
Will these photos fit the slogan “It’s more fun in Philippines.” I’ll say hell yes! It was a successful event, there was no bad incident or accident during the event except for some blown engines but those are normal happenings in this kind of event. Are you looking for more of it? We all have to wait for the 2nd speedfest event maybe this last quarter of 2012! I hope you enjoyed it!
Please do not use the photos without my permission.
One of my favorite restaurant in Binondo (Chinatown). This is the place where I always end up eating because it’s just near my place and very affordable.
Let us start with my drink, I had a wintermelon juice. I believe the juice itself is warm and they just put ice in it when they’re about to serve it. The drink was not cold enough at first so I have to ask for a glass of ice and it was so much better after!
Of course you have to order their dumplings for your appetizer! You have the option to have it steamed, deep fried or both.
Steam and fried Kuchay Dumplings
This is my favorite the ultimate pork chop rice! The crunchy pork chop that is twice the size of your palm and it is accompanied with clear soup and vegetables. The rice is served with a brown sauce on top that gives an “adobo” like taste. Don’t forget to try their homemade chili sauce!

Here’s their affordable menu for your reference.
Don’t forget to try their porkchop noodles and soya milk.
